The Cicero Basement Flood Prevention Program is being funded by just over $20 million in federal grant money.
Homeowners who qualify can get financial assistance to install back-flow prevention systems to help reduce the risk of flooding and sewer backups in their homes during heavy rains.
The program may also reimburse eligible homeowners who installed qualifying systems after the July 2023 storms.
