Clerk assaulted in Lakeview liquor store robbery: CPD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police are looking for the suspects involved in a Lakeview liquor store robbery Wednesday night that left a man injured.

Police said a clerk was injured after being hit in the arm during the robbery at Eastgate Wine & Spirits.

Around 7:45 p.m., two men entered the store near Diversey and Pine Grove and approached the male clerk behind the counter.

Police said one of the suspects hit him and then fled the scene with merchandise.

The clerk declined treatment at the scene, and police said no one is in custody.
