CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- ComEd is looking for interns for its new summer job training program in Chicago.

The three-week, paid training program, called CONSTRUCT Youth Academy starts July 10.

It's part of ComEd’s goal to expand career training and education programs to prepare students to take on the growing number of energy jobs coming to Illinois.

Students in the program will attend classes at the YMCA of Metro Chicago and head out for some firsthand insight from ComEd about what it’s like to work in the field.

Applicants must be rising juniors or seniors at an Illinois high school. The application deadline is June 24.
