CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- If you got a flat tire - or four - on the Kennedy Expressway on Sunday, you're not alone and there is something you can do about it.
Construction on the Kennedy Expressway caused a number of flat tires on Sunday.
"Two other cars, flat tire. This car, flat tire...Four cars total with flat tires...in the span of 15 minutes."
A couple, among those with flats, shot video that was shared on social media.
"There's another one. It's like eight cars total," a woman said.
Car after car was seen with flat tires near the Nagle exit on the Kennedy Expressway - maybe a dozen or more altogether. One car had four tires flattened.
The result of what state police called a “roadway defect.”
A contractor had remove pavement, creating a drop-off and leaving potholes.
Those who had damage can make claims online with the Illinois Department of Transportation.
