CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A construction worker has been hospitalized following an accident on the site of the future Obama Center in Jackson Park.
The male worker reportedly was working inside a ventilation shaft at the construction site, located at 60th and Stony Island. He became trapped in the duct and had to be rescued by Chicago firefighters, sources say, and was transported to University of Chicago Medical Center shortly after 1 p.m.
He was reportedly alert, but his condition is not yet known.
