(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Couples looking to tie the knot in 2023 can now apply on the Cook County website to be the first married couple of the new year.
The couple chosen will receive several goodies donated by Chicago businesses, including a sparkling wine basket from Cooper's Hawk, a wedding dance lesson from Duet Dance Studio, and comedy show tickets from the Laugh Factory Chicago.
Applications for the first marriage license of 2023 are open until Monday, and the drawing will be held Dec. 27.
The wedding ceremony will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
Applicants need only to submit their names, one phone number, and one email address.
