CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - In the wake of Wednesday’s explosion outside of the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, police have stepped up patrols around the president-elect’s property here in Chicago.

Chicago police say they have no actionable intelligence about planned attacks here like what happened in Las Vegas and New Orleans, but the department said it has increased patrols near Trump Tower in River North in response.

News Affairs said the department’s hearts are with all of those affected by what it calls a reprehensible act of violence in New Orleans, and it continues to monitor this tragic situation.
