Chicago Police investigate shooting that killed 18-year-old woman in Englewood

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A young woman was shot and killed on the city's South Side overnight.

Chicago Police say the 18-year-old was sitting in a parked car near West 72nd and South Ada streets in the Englewood neighborhood around 3:30 a.m. when a bullet came through the window.

She was struck in the head and taken to a nearby hospital where she later died.

So far, no one has been arrested.

Chicago Police report that this is one of at least 12 shootings that took place overnight Saturday into Sunday in Chicago.
