A CPD Officer has been relieved of his police powers following his arrest while on vacation in Florida.
The 30-year-old officer, Henry Capouch, was at a bar called Jimmy B’s at the Beachcomber Hotel in St. Pete Beach.
A bar worker said he was getting ice when he witnessed Capouch urinating into the ice machine. When told to stop, the criminal complaint says, Capouch started swearing at the employee and then pushed him a couple times. The report states he also pushed a security guard.
When sheriff’s deputies arrived they were directed to the beach where they found Capouch sitting with his girlfriend. They say he was actively resisting while being arrested.
Capouch is charged with simple battery and disorderly conduct. He’s a five year veteran, and now is the focus of an internal CPD investigation.
