
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police are trying to identify people who fired at others and hit a marked squad car on Sunday morning in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, causing minor injuries to two officers and a teenager on the street.
It was about 2 a.m. on the 900 block of North Harding Avenue. A bullet hit a marked police vehicle.
Video captured part of the incident.
Police released it on YouTube.
Five people are seen running. Two are seen firing handguns at others on the street. The police vehicle is around the corner. You can’t see it.
A bullet went through the windshield of the squad car. One officer was hit in the vest. The second was cut by glass from the windshield. Both were okay.
An 18-year-old man who was on the street was wounded. He was initially listed in serious condition.
The video released by police includes different angles.
