(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police are investigating multiple robberies of businesses on the North and Northwest Side.
Police are warning business owners in Lincoln Park and Logan Square of three robberies that happened early Friday morning.
In each incident, a group of four men entered the businesses, took out handguns, and forced employees to open the registers, where they then took cash. At least one of the suspects stayed at the door to act as a look out.
Police say in one incident, the suspects also robbed a patron of the business. In another, they punched an employee in the face.
The suspects then drove away in a gray Kia Sorrento.
Detectives are investigating. Anyone with information about the suspects are asked to contact Area Three detectives at 312-744-8263 or Area Five detectives at 312-746-7394. Tips can also be submitted at CPDTIP.com with the reference number 24-CWP-059.
