The Chicago police department is warning businesses about a crew of ATMs thieves that has hit seven locations last week.
They strike in the early morning between 3:30 and 6am. Chicago police say a crew of three to five males in a white Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk with no license plate has stolen from seven ATMs since Thursday morning. They’ve hit South Shore, Kenwood, Ravenswood, West Town and Park West. After prying open the doors of the business, police say the thieves damage the ATMs and take cash from inside.
The department encourages owners to keep their businesses well lit and share any surveillance video with detectives.
