The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office says Crystal Lake City Clerk Nicholas Kachiroubas, 45, has been arrested after an investigation that began in April.

Kachiroubas was taken into custody on Tuesday at his home and taken to McHenry County Jail.

He faces felony charges of possession of child pornography and grooming.

Besides being City Clerk in Crystal Lake, Kachiroubas has been an associate professor in the School of Public Service at DePaul University since 2012.
