CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Starting late tonight, CTA Blue Line riders may have to deal with an inconvenience this weekend.
There's going to be work on the Blue Line's Racine Station and Morgan substation over the weekend, and that's going to mean shuttle bus service between the Illinois Medical District and UIC-Halsted.
The work had previously been scheduled a couple of weeks ago, but stormy weather got in the way.
Regular Blue Line trains will be stopping at those stations again at 4 a.m. Monday.
As part of the Blue Line's Forest Park Branch Rebuild, a new elevator is being added to the main Racine entrance. There will also be a longer platform and new stairs.
The main entrance at Racine is to reopen later this year.
