(WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A CTA bus driver was taken to a hospital Wednesday night after an attack aimed at her and her bus in the Woodlawn neighborhood.

Police said the attack happened in the 500 block of East 63rd Street after 10:30 p.m. The 30-year old female bus driver was passing a group of boys or men who started throwing rocks at the bus. One of the rocks made it through the driver’s side window and hit the driver in the neck, causing swelling. She was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition.

Area One detectives are trying to figure out who the rock-throwers were.
