CTA detectives working to identify armed robbery suspect

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago Transit Authority detectives are asking the public for help in identifying the suspect of an armed robbery that happened Tuesday.

Chicago police say the suspect approached someone on the platform at the CTA Redline 69th Street station, and used a translator app to demand that the person give him his belongings or he would be shot.

The suspect then pulled up his shirt to show a gun. The victim handed over his belongings and the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is said to be between 25-35 years old.
