CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The Chicago Transit Authority hopes to put riders in the holiday spirit with the return of its Holiday Train and Bus.
For the first time in two years passengers will be able to ride along with Santa and his elves to spread good cheer but not bad germs.
That means passengers will be required to wear face masks and won’t be able to take a photo with old Saint Nick.
CTA officials said if the train or bus become too crowded, they may not stop to pick you up.
So Santa encouraged riders to come on weekdays or at times when there are smaller crowds.
The Allstate CTA Holiday Train will begin service the day after Thanksgiving and the Allstate CTA Holiday Bus will ride through neighborhoods starting Nov. 30.
