CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The CTA has made improvements to its bus tracker feature.
The CTA said its fully redesigned Bus Tracker has a new modern layout that will adapt to whatever device riders are using whether it's a smartphone, laptop or desktop monitor.
There’s a GPS-enabled “stops nearby” feature that will allow you to save your favorite bus stops and there are zoom capabilities so you can get an even better idea where your particular bus is.
“This upgrade is a critical first step in improving our rider communication tools, and a key component of our commitment to our customers to quickly address our most pressing challenges," said CTA president Dorval R. Carter, Jr. in a statement.
A test run showed that during morning drive, the tracker looked at nine buses on the #80 Irving Park route and was easily zoomed in to where each bus was.
