CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police have released surveillance camera images of two men wanted for a robbery and battery on a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Red Line platform in May.
It happened in the early afternoon at the Red Line platform at North and Clybourn Station.
Police said one of the suspects forcibly took a woman’s phone and refused to return it, demanding that she unlock it for him and change the phone’s language to English.
Shortly after, the woman was surrounded by others.
According to police, one of the people in the group — who was shown in the surveillance footage — leaned in and kissed the woman.
The suspects then boarded a train.
Police reminded local parents to make sure children know safe routes between school and home and to not let kids walk or play alone.
Anyone with information relating to the robbery and battery were encouraged to contact Public Transportation Section detectives at 312-745-4447.
