CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Two men were taken to the hospital Saturday night after Chicago police said they were shot while causing some kind of disturbance on a Chicago Transit Authority Red Line train.

The train was stopped at the Roosevelt Station in the South Loop, and officials said the shooting happened just after 10 p.m.


A 25-year-old man suffered critical wounds and a 20-year-old man was in good condition after being shot in the shoulder.

The older man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and the younger man was taken to Stroger Hospital.

Police have not specified what kind of disturbance happened on the train. Officers recovered a weapon at the scene and took a person of interest in for questioning.
