CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Drinks will be on the Cubs for the rest of summer at Wrigley Field, well sort of. It just will depend on the day week of the week. The North Side ballclub announced Tuesday that starting next homestand, June 13, they will be beginning a special summer ticket promotion, in which fans admitted into the ballpark will be able receive one free alcoholic beverage.
The “Summer Night Special” ticket offer will take place for home games on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays and will run through August 24. Each of the three weeknights will have a special theme. A free cocktail can be had on “Maker’s Mark Monday.” “Gooseday Tuesday” will offer a free beer to fans. And on “Terlato Wine Wednesday,” patrons can imbibe in a free glass of wine.
In order to receive the free beverage, fans must be at least 21-years-old and will have to present their mobile game ticket and a valid ID at select park concession stands. Bottled water could also be substituted if the fan prefers.
The Cubs stress that during this special only one alcoholic beverage can be redeemed per ticket.
