CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Some little leaguers will be attending the big White Sox versus Cubs series this weekend...sort of.
While members of an Arlington Heights little league team cannot physically attend the Crosstown Classic this weekend, their cardboard cutouts can.
Six members of the Knights, part of the Arlington Heights Youth Athletic Association, will have their supersized, cardboard likenesses in seats at Guaranteed Rate Field. They will be placed in Section 154, Row 2, Seats 2-7.
According to the Daily Herald, the players are taking part in the second wave of the Chicago White Sox's FANtastic Faces charity program, which gave fans one more opportunity this season to purchase cutouts displayed in the ballpark.
The Sox initially sold 2,500 cutouts, and then another 500, raising more than $100,000 for Chicago White Sox Charities.
Each cutout will be authenticated, and then available for pickup by the purchasers after the final home game, officials said.
