(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The superintendent of Decatur Public Schools District 61 has been trying to reassure parents that a teacher’s after-school activities — which have sparked controversy — are under scrutiny.
The teacher was reported to have put explicit photos and videos on OnlyFans, an online platform where that kind of content is common.
It has people in Decatur talking and, over the weekend, District 61 Supt. Dr. Rochelle Clark spoke on the matter in a video message.
“I know you are waiting for the district to make a statement or at least confirm or deny what has taken place,” she said. “Unfortunately, I can’t do either of those things for you because it is a personnel matter.”
She added: “We are not just sitting idle, quietly just letting this pass us by. We are dealing with these issues.”
The district said earlier there is no policy concerning what teachers do outside of work.
Teachers elsewhere have been fired or resigned for the same thing, and some have noted they can earn a lot of money on OnlyFans.
