CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A restaurant worker was wounded in a hold up Tuesday night on Chicago’s Southwest Side.
The 35-year-old man was shot in the right leg as, Chicago police said, the delivery driver struggled with a gunman who tried to rob the restaurant where he was working.
It happened a little before 9 p.m. near 79th and Pulaski in the Ashburn neighborhood. Police said a male with a handgun announced a robbery after entering the establishment. No one is in custody.
The driver was in fair condition when paramedics took him to the hospital.
No one is in custody.
