(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Friday began as a picture perfect day, but dense fog began to move into the lakefront around 1:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service is tracking a patch of dense fog over the southwestern portion of Lake Michigan. They report that visibility could drop below three quarters of a mile.

The fog is expected to hang around for no more than two hours in any given location.

The NWS reports that affected harbors include those between Indiana Harbor and Wilmette Harbor.
