(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- It wasn’t your average Monday at DePaul College Prep, where the school day came to an end with celebration of a talented boys basketball team.
Classmates, parents and teachers gathered for a rally to celebrate after the Rams took the Class 3A title by defeating Mount Carmel over the weekend.
“What makes me most proud of this year’s team are the life lessons that were obtained during these four months – commitment and work ethic, team building, sacrifice, working with others,” coach Tom Kleinschmidt said.
It was the second consecutive IHSA title for DePaul College prep. Last year, the school won a 2A title.
