Our PAWS Chicago Pet of the Week is Bixby. This handsome 3-year-old is ready to be your best friend. Bixby has lived in some foster homes, so PAWS Chicago already knows what makes him tick. He likes to play but he's not a hyper boy. He will surely engage in a tug-of-war with any willing participant. And when you're done he loves to cool down by chewing an ice cube or two. He can be left home alone without any issues.

Bixby is part of a very special year-end adoption event, PAWS Chicago's "New Year, New Friend" adoption event. Now through Jan. 6, PAWS has waived adoption fees on dozens of pets, including Bixby, most of whom have spent time in foster care and haven't spent much time at their Lincoln Park Adoption Center.
