(WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A meeting of the Thornton Township Board of Trustees devolved into chaos Thursday.
Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard, also the embattled mayor of Dolton under federal investigation, was the focus of many at the meeting. That has also been the case during meetings in Dolton.
“She just needs to step down,” one resident said. “You [Henyard] are a failure.”
People complained about Henyard’s leadership, about a canceled previous meeting and the amount of time they’re allowed to speak.
Those in attendance also argued with one another.
They even argued with a man who stood at the podium and suggested they act like adults.
Needless to say, not much business was getting done.
