A 22-year-old man who lived at the apartment, Joseangel Villagran, was the brothel’s doorman, authorities said. He was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and promoting prostitution.

The alleged operator of the brothel, 34-year-old Antonio Sanchez Cortes of Libertyville, was taken into custody in that village. He was charged with promoting prostitution.

Two women at the brothel site were offered services from victim advocate specialists who accompanied police, the sheriff’s department said.
