Downtown cab driver stabbed by unruly passenger: CPD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police are investigating the stabbing of a taxi driver on North Michigan Avenue early this morning.

It happened at about 12:30 a.m. at Michigan Avenue and Ontario Street.
According to police, the 41-year-old had picked up a woman. She became angry and began to physically attack the man. He tried to push the offender away when she pulled out what was described as “a sharp object” and slashed the man’s head.

She got out and ran away.

The man was treated for a laceration at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Police said he was in good condition.
