DraftKings opened at Wrigley in March of 2024. It's the only operating retail sportsbook in Illinois connected to a sports venue.
But now, it will be discontinuing onsite sportsbook operations, due to increased Illinois wagering taxes, according to the Chicago Tribune. The last day to place bets at the location is May 31.
In a statement, Cubs spokesperson Jennifer Martinez confirmed that venue will still operate as a bar and restaurant.
Later this season they plan to "create a seamless flow between the bar and the ballpark concourse."
