CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — DuPage County is taking a look at lifting the ban on marijuana dispensaries in certain areas.
Legal recreational marijuana is almost two years old in Illinois.
Now governments that initially banned marijuana dispensaries are giving them a second look.
The Daily Herald reported that members of the DuPage County board are looking at repealing the ban on adult-use cannabis businesses in unincorporated areas of the county.
bBoard members are still trying to hash out the number of potential sites, the number of licenses for marijuana businesses, and whether the new dispensaries would have new customers or take a bite out of existing pot stores.
