NORRIDGE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Norridge police are still trying to determine who severely beat a 78-year old man in his backyard Friday afternoon.
Home security video showed three masked men entering the backyard of Najadt Bitar and then sliding open the back door. They ran when they spotted Bitar, and Bitar’s daughter Vanya Khouri told CBS-2 her father followed them.
He was trying to see, ‘where did they go, what’s going on?’” Khouri said.
Bitar found the three in back of his garage, and they badly beat him. He spent three nights in the hospital.
Norridge police said they’ve identified a person of interest, and the family believes they recognize the voice and the walk of one of the suspects.
