ELMWOOD PARK (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Some suburban students are e-learning today, but it's not because of the snow.
Students at Elmwood Park High School had planned a walkout Friday, but after a potential threat was made against it, the superintendent implemented remote learning for both staff and students.
The planned walkout was organized by students as a protest because of safety and security concerns after, earlier this week, a juvenile student was arrested with a gun.
No specifics were given about the threat.
