CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — When it comes to working from home, there are some benefits and consequences for women.
Working from home means a shorter commute and a more flexible schedule. But some women worry being out of the office could cost them their next big opportunity.
Tessa White, CEO of the Job Doctor, joined the WBBM Noon Business Hour.
White's main advice to women working remotely is to be seen, be heard and be prepared.
"It really is about knowing the data, the numbers, the trends that are going on so that you can make contributions that are really meaningful to the business and I think you have to be extra extra prepared," White said.
White also suggested setting up a cadence that allows you to go into the office and talk with people face-to-face even if it's not every day.
