The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating after a piece of metal-- that may have come from an aircraft-- was found in Barrington Hills Monday morning.
According to Barrington Hills Police, the debris was found around 8:26 a.m. by staff during a morning security check at Noah's Ark Christian Academy which is located at the Barrington United Methodist Church.
When officers arrived they found the object which they described at being about 3 feet by 4 feet in size, and they called the FAA.
As for the investigation, when reached by WBBM, a spokesperson for the agency would only say the FAA is in possession of the part and is investigating.
