A well-known name in Chicago politics has announced another campaign run.
“I’m Bob Fioretti, and I’m running for Attorney General.”
The civil rights attorney and former Chicago Alderman made the announcement at Manny’s Deli.
“I will root out corruption, protect our most vulnerable and restore integrity to a government that has lost its way.”
Fioretti spent the majority of his brief appearance criticizing current Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul, who is expected to run for a third term.
“This Attorney General has filed or joined in on dozens of lawsuits against the current administration in Washington. These lawsuits, among other things, demand Illinois to continue to spend untold millions of dollars.”
In recent years, the former Democrat and current Republican has run for Mayor of Chicago, Cook County State’s Attorney and Board President…and Illinois State Senator.
