DOLTON (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Students at Thornridge High School in Dolton will be doing remote learning today after weekend flooding hit the south suburb.
District 205 announced e-learning will be held today and tomorrow due to flooding at the high school at Route 83 and Cottage Grove.
Thornridge does not have working heat or electricity, the district said in a message to parents.
The administration said it’s working to address the damage but emergency repairs are not expected to be finished until at least tomorrow, so students and staff will not need to come into the building.
The National Weather Service said there was flash flooding in the south suburbs after more than 5.5 inches of rain fell in neighboring South Holland on Sunday.
