(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The 12th Annual Turkey Drive is this weekend. There will be free turkeys for families across the city, special guests and maybe even a Chicago Bulls player or two.

The Turkey Drive will snake its way across all sides of the city, stopping at about a half dozen locations in Chicago. It was started by Steve Exclusive773 and has grown over the years to include collaborations from Lyrical Lemonade, Gratitude Chicago, and the Mural Movement.

“Throughout our entire tour, we'll be passing out thousands of turkeys to Chicago families,” Delilah Martines, founder of Mural Movement, said.

Last stop this year is 3 p.m. in Pilsen, at Vault Gallerie, headquarters for the non-profit Mural Movement, where Martinez said that Chicago Bulls players have been known to join these giveaways.

“I won't even know until the morning of, but we definitely do have the Chicago Bulls staff that will be there. And we're also hoping that Benny the Bull comes.”
