WAUKEGAN (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- People intrigued by the paranormal may be interested in tours planned this month at a theater in the northern suburbs.
The Genesee Theater in Waukegan is hosting GhostWauk Tours.
Patron services manager Larry Frievalt tells the Lake News Sun he's turned into a believer of the paranormal after experiencing it for himself. There are things that happen at the theater that cannot be explained, he says.
One example: the smell of pipe smoke that has lingered since the 2013 death of an employee who smoked a pipe but never in the theater.
Tours will take place on Friday and Saturday evenings through Oct. 24. Twenty people will be allowed for each tour.
