(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — “So, I literally think I popped out the womb loving herbs and Mother Nature and natural remedies,” Karmen Sibly, owner of Grounded Apothecary said.
She is fulfilling a lifelong passion to provide homemade sea moss, small-batch plant medicine and natural remedies that harness the abundance of Mother Nature to heal the body, soul, and mind.
“So ever since I was young, I was always like, what's the natural way like instead of Tylenol? What can I do instead? Or like just what is, what does Mother Nature have to offer that doesn't have side effects?”
Grounded Apothecary alternatives to big pharma to include:
“Magnesium mist, good for sleeping. There is the elderberry immune boosting tonic that's ingested, good for boosting your immune system.
“There is stress and anxiety adaptogen, that's also something you're going to ingest. I also do tinctures, which are concentrated plant plant medicine.”

Through her business, Silby tries to make it so people can be healthy and afford to be healthy.
Based out of Lakeview East, Grounded Apothecary for now, is a one woman operation.
“At this point it's just myself doing everything, so very, very tiring but very worth it, and I just love it.”
Silby doesn’t have a brick and mortar, she gets her product out online through her website and social media. However, she says she enjoys the personal interaction that comes from being a part of the community at local farmers markets and other popups.
“So yeah, it's been beautiful being able to also be a part of the community and having the people come back and report to me and be like, ‘I was skeptical, but it works and it's amazing and I love it.’ And then just seeing that it's, I guess, flowing outward.”
