(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The North Riverside Park Mall was closed Friday after a shooting left a person wounded at the west suburban shopping center.

An argument broke out between two males about 3:21 p.m. inside the mall, 7501 Cermak Rd., when one of them fired shots, according to Village of North Riverside officials.

A male was taken to Loyola University Medical Center with two gunshot wounds, officials said. He was "alert and conscious."

Two suspects were stopped by North Riverside police and taken into custody, officials said. The mall has been closed for an investigation.

In June, a man in his 20s was shot in the south end of the mall's lower level, and a 22-year-old man was killed in a shooting behind the mall's Olive Garden restaurant at the end of May.
