Person shooting at SUV while driving causes 2 vehicles to crash into restaurant on Southwest Side

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police are looking for a gunman involved in a crash in the Archer Heights neighborhood Sunday morning.

Police said someone in a red Toyota Camry was shooting at a Chevy Tahoe at around 3 a.m. and caused the SUV and a Jeep Cherokee to crash into a restaurant near Archer Avenue and Pulaski Road.

Police said the people in the Camry ran off while two people in the Tahoe and two in the Cherokee were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police recovered a weapon at the scene and the building department must assess the damage.

No one is in custody.
