(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Puppets, laser shows and dancers will be just some of the offerings Saturday night as the 9th Annual Arts in the Dark Halloween Parade rolls down State Street.

Mark Kelly, co-founder and artistic director of the parade, said there will be 4,000 performers representing 80 different cultural organizations.

“About 95 percent are from Chicago. There’s a couple of great groups that come from other areas,” he said.

A visiting group from Mexico will be among the visiting performers, he said.

Around 100,000 spectators are expected line the street. The event begins at 6 p.m. and will run along State Street from Lake to Van Buren.
