(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — McHenry County health officials say anyone who visited a Marengo restaurant around the middle of last month may have been exposed to coronavirus.

It was a prom on May 22 at Niko’s R & R Supper Club in Marengo that first raised suspicions about potential exposure.

Now the McHenry County Department of Health is alerting anyone who was at the restaurant from May 14 through May 22 to self-quarantine.

A spokesperson for the health department confirmed Thursday that some have tested positive for COVID, but she declined to give a number, saying it’s under investigation.

The health department is working with the restaurant to make sure there’s no more risk to the staff or the public.
