(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The Lake County Coroner's Office says a human arm discovered washed up on a Waukegan beach, has been confirmed to be that of a Milwaukee woman who was murdered earlier this year.

DNA testing confirmed that the arm was from Sade Robinson, 19, who was killed and dismembered. She had been reported missing on April 2 of this year.

Since then, she was confirmed as the victim of a case in Milwaukee.

The arm was discovered on May 11. Milwaukee police were contacted and further testing was started to determine if the arm belonged to Robinson.

Robinson’s family was notified of the DNA match on Tuesday.

“On behalf of the Lake County Coroner’s Office, I want to express our sincere condolences to Sade’s family and friends who continue to endure this tragic loss,” Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek said.

Ald. Keith Turner has received criticism for posting an image of Robinson’s remains on this Facebook page.

Waukegan Mayor Ann Taylor says Turner posted the photo without contacting the  Waukegan police or anyone in city government first.
