CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Gov. JB Pritzker’s office says the governor has been tested for COVID-19 today and is isolating after possibly being exposed to coronavirus.

A spokesperson on Friday said the possible exposure was Monday when Pritzker was at a meeting in a large conference room in the governor’s office. Everyone wore a mask and was socially distanced during the meeting, the spokesperson said.

The press office says the results of the test will be made public when available; contact tracing is underway.

It’s not clear when the governor learned about the exposure.

He spoke to reporters and others at his 2:30 p.m. COVID-19 briefing at the Thompson Center in downtown Chicago.
