Carvana is allowed to sell cars again in Illinois after Secretary of State Jesse White paused a temporary suspension of its dealer's license.

The car company can resume selling cars, but some restrictions remained in place. Carvana must post a $250,000 bond to cover customer fines, use a third party to process titles, and cannot issue temporary license plates.

The secretary of state's office suspended the used car seller's license on May 10, 2022, for misusing temporary plates and failing to transfer titles.

A spokesman told WBBM that while Carvana has not resolved all complaints, it has brought its title transactions into compliance.

A Carvana spokeswoman said they're pleased to resume normal service and they delivered all vehicles that were purchased before the May 10 suspension.
