LAKE COUNTY, Ind. — Authorities in northwest Indiana are once again seeking the public's help in solving the 2003 cold case murder of Ronda McGregor.
McGregor, 42, was reported missing by family members in January 2003, several weeks after she was last seen, according to the Lake County Prosecutor's Homicide Taskforce. In April of that year, a man walking along U.S. Route 12 west of County Line Road discovered her remains.
The Lake County Coroner's Office later ruled McGregor's death a homicide.
More than 20 years later, investigators are hoping renewed attention will bring in new leads that could help solve the case.
