KENOSHA, WIS. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A repeat drunk driver from Kenosha is charged with a fatal hit-and-run crash last weekend that killed an 89-year-old woman.
Steven Falls, 41 had five OWI convictions when his license was revoked in 2013.
Police said he admitted he used heroin the night before the crash that killed Marilyn Kutzler. She was a passenger in her husband’s car.
Falls ran, according to police, but was caught a short time later. The woman’s daughter, Margie Burba, spoke to CBS 58 Milwaukee.
"My parents were adorable. That's the one thing my dad says, he goes he is going to miss her so much. They've been combined at the hip for years."
Burba said her mother and father recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary and that they met at a wedding.
She said, for now, they’re sticking together and getting through this-first, the funeral, and then the court hearings, where the driver faces five felonies.
